SUNCOAST MCC NEWS FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 8, 2018
“I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES”
Sun. | Nov. 11 | 10AM
Join Rev. Dr. Nancy Wilson’s sermon where she explores the topic of miracles which are described in the Bible. One story is in 1 Kings of Elijah where the prophet provides for the widow and then raises her son from the dead and another story is about Jesus healing Peter’s mother-in-law.
“Are there miracles today?” Yes there are! Rev. Nancy Wilson believes there are at least three types of miracles. First there are the “ordinary” miracles, there are the miracles of “synchronicity and timing” and finally the miracles that simply say, “WOW!”
Join us as we open our hearts to the miraculous and sing along with us “It Took a Miracle!” We at SunCoast MCC are no strangers to miracles, let’s celebrate that truth.
Enjoy SunCoast MCC’s final session. The discussion is based on Adam Hamilton’s book, Enough, Rev. Nancy Wilson and Rev. Vickie Miller explore the challenges of being good stewards of one’s finances in challenging times while receiving many mixed messages in our culture. Through humor, colorful images, stories and practical teaching, Hamilton explains how to cultivate a life of contentment and generosity. Come and learn some inspiring answers.

TRAITS OF HEALTHY SPIRITUALITY
Tues. | Nov. 27
Dec. 4, 11 and 18 | 10AM
The class is based on the book “Traits of Healthy Spirituality” by Sister Melannie Svoboda, SND. Discussions will be centered around “indicators” of healthy spiritualty like self-esteem, tolerance, forgiveness, friendship, joy, and others. These “signs” are rooted in everyday life, yet based on scripture. In her book Sister Melannie demonstrates how to use these traits to help judge where one stands in terms of one’s own Christian Spirituality and how one can further advance one’s own “Journey of Faith.”
SunCoast MCC will provide a copy of the book for $10. Sign up in the church lobby or send us an email.
